Suppose you want to receive benefits from government schemes, scholarships, and other financial services that use Aadhaar for payments. In that case, you need to SBI Aadhaar Seeding with your bank account and maps it with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). To ensure smooth and efficient payment transfers.

What is Aadhaar bank seeding?

Aadhaar seeding is the process of linking your Aadhaar with a bank account and mapping it with NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) to ensure your Aadhaar number is linked to your bank account. This enables the smooth functioning of various government schemes and financial services.

Here’s how to link your Aadhaar with your SBI bank account for NPCI seeding:

There are many options for linking your Aadhaar with your bank account. You can do it online through Net Banking and Mobile Applications like Yono SBI or Yono SBI lite or by visiting the nearest SBI ATM or branch.

But to seed your Aadhaar with your bank account and map it with with NCPI, there is no online option as of my knowledge. Since I just finished seeding my Aadhaar with my bank account, I searched for an online option through the internet, but it’s yet to be available. But as we go digital, we can do these processes online as the NCPI just launched the Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE) to make these processes easy through the online process. As of now, there are limitations as these BASEs its yet to function well.

However, you can check the status of the Aadhar link through your Aadhaar portal and also by using these BASE.

Link your Aadhaar with your SBI bank account for NPCI seeding:

  • You need to download and fill out these form
  • And Attach it’s with a photo copy of your Aadhaar
  • Submit it to the Branch manager of your SBI Home Branch
  • And for further details, they will assist you

After you Submit, it takes 2-3 days for your Aadhaar to maps with NCPI. If you want to know thw status here are two steps to check the status of your Aadhaar seedings.

1. Through UDAI portal

In these steps, you need to:

  • visit the UDAI website
  • Log in using your Aadhar number and OTP received on your registered mobile number
  • After you log in, scroll down to the Bank linking status
  • There, you will see if your Aadhar is linked or not

2. By using the Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE)

To use this method, you need to visit the NCPI website
