The official YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India, where it streamed live court hearings of constitutional bench cases and matters of public interest, was hacked on Friday. The YouTube channel is now showing a video promoting XRP, a cryptocurrency developed by the US-based company Ripple Labs, according to a report by The Times of India.
Supreme Court YouTube Channel hacks
Following the Youtube channel hack the Top court issued a statement and the Youtube Channel has been taken down.
“This is to inform all concerned that the YouTube channel of Supreme Court of India has been taken down. The services on YouTube channel of Supreme Court of India will be resumed shortly,” the Supreme Court said in a statement.

The Incident came to light when a blank video titled “Brad Garlinghouse: Ripple Responds To The SEC’s $2 Billion Fine! XRP PRICE PREDICTION” went live on the Supreme Court YouTube channel. Additionally, the hacker appears to have made the Supreme Court’s earlier video of the hearing private.
