Google App on Mobile Gets a New Feature: Dedicated Notification Feed on its Bottom Bar

The Google App on mobile just received a new features: a dedicated notification feed on its buttom bar.

The Google App on mobile just received a new features: a dedicated notification feed on its buttom bar. The new button will joint the Discover, Search, and Saved as the fourth item of the bottom bar. These was first spotted by 9to6Google on the lastest beta version (15.20).

New Notification feed

The new notification feed, represented by a standard bell icon, will show the alerts sent by Google serach, including current and upcoming weather conditions, flight information, sports scores, available movies/TV shows, word of the day, and more. These notifications are grouped by “Today” and “Earlier.” There’s an option to tap on each notification to be taken to the search term associated with the alert.

Additionally, an overflow menu for each item allow you to delete, stop receiving similar notifications, or send feedback.

New enhancement

This is great feature for for keeping up with alerts like weather condition, sports score It makes it easy to access all this information in the notification feed area without having to Google search about those information.It also simplifies getting updates on movies/TV shows and the word of the day, all within a single notification feed.

Conclusion

These is new feature will enhance user experience on the mobile app. Currently, it is available for beta version only but it will soon roll out to everyone. You can join the Android beta program to test the latest version on your smartphone.
