Google announced the launch of the Gemini Andriod app for Indian users available in 9 Indian Languages. Sundar Pichai announced this news through X(formerly Twitter): “Exciting news! Today, we’re launching the Gemini mobile app in India, available in English and 9 Indian languages.”
Gemini Andriod App in India
Google launched its Gemini App for Andriod devices back in February after its rebranding Google Bard to Gemini. But this launch is available to selected regions only including the US. Now Google expanding its Gemini to other regions for users to get used the most with Andriod. In India, the Gemini App is available in English and 9 other Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Android users can directly download the Gemini app from the Google Play Store or even opt-in through the existing Google Assistant app. Once available, Gemini’s assistance could be called upon by corner swiping, hitting the power button on select phones, or saying “Hey Google.” Additionally, The Gemini app will also take over some of the Voice functionality that was previously available through Google Assistant such as setting timers, making calls, and setting reminders.

Gemini Advance Indian Language update
In a post on X, Pichai also announced the adding support for Indian languages to its paid-tier Gemini Advanced. The Gemini is a paid version of Gemini offered by Google with a capable Gemini 1.5 Pro Model that has a one million token context window.
Gemini Advanced offers features such as document analysis and data analysis. Google said that users can now upload multiple large documents, up to 1,500 pages in total.
Gemini AI chatbot in Google Messages
Along with this announcement, Pichai also notes that Google Messages users in India will also get the ability to chat with the Gemini AI chatbot within the Messages app. Now users can now directly chat with Gemini in Messages app.

With Mobile app its easy navigated to the app directly from the app, instead of going to web browser like chrome, which are more efficient than the app. Addtionally the adding of Indian language make Gemini easy for people to understand in other Indian languages.
