Google Magic Editor is now expanding beyond Pixel phones. This added feature in Google Photo was available for the Pixels series only before, it was launched last October after the announcement in Google I/O 2023 for the Pixels 8 series but has now started expanding to a wide range of Android phones.
What is Google Magic Editor?
For those who are not aware yet of this feature. It is a feature available on Google Photo that allows users to remove, move, or resize portions of an image. With this feature, you can edit a photo on the Google Photo app itself to delete an unattractive object, reposition a person in the photograph, or downsize something to make the photos look good, you can also apply contextual background presets like Sky, Golden hour, and Stylized.
As I mentioned this feature launched last year in October exclusively for Pixels 8 and Pixels Pro smartphones.
Google Magic Editor availability
According to the post on 9to5google, you can see this feature on Pixels and Samsung smartphones after you update the app to the latest version, 6.85. For Pixel phones this feature is available for free without limitation. However, for other smartphone brands, it’s limited to 10 edits and saves per month. You will get unlimited if you subscribe to the Google One premium plan.
