Hauwei Harmony OS Next is confirmed to launch on October 22 in China. The OS is rumored to launch in September but there is no official announcement from the company. The Harmony OS Next will not be based on the Andriod Open Source Project (AOSP) code instead it is built on the Hongmeng kernel and system architecture. So, the Android app on Huawei devices will not support this Harmony OS Next.

They confirmed its launch via a post on Its official handle on Weibo, that HarmonyOS Next will be introduced in China at 7 pm local time on October 22. It is expected to launch alongside the Huawei Nova 13 series whose pre-reservations are already available.
HarmonyOS Next Features
HarmonyOS Next, the upcoming version of Huawei’s mobile operating system, will retain many of the familiar design elements found in HarmonyOS, including app arrangements, widgets, notification bar, and control center.
However, HarmonyOS Next will also introduce significant advancements. At its core, the OS leverages artificial intelligence (AI) from the kernel system to apps. Huawei claims that AI can not only control system elements but also be integrated into third-party applications.

Additionally, HarmonyOS Next comes with a built-in system-level AI assistant capable of high-level understanding and interaction. It uses an AI agent dubbed Celia which is built on Huawei’s Pangu large language model
