The new Jio initiative will allow you to complete self-KYC for new SIM card registration. This is entirely different from the Jio SIM Home Delivery service, where Jio agents come to your location and perform your KYC to activate your new SIM. With the new Jio “iActivate” service, users can now activate their SIM/eSIM themselves using My Jio. The iActivate process involves users uploading a live photo or video along with supporting documents to activate a new SIM card through a self-KYC process.

You first need to download and install My Jio on your devices. Once downloaded open the My Jio app and a new iActivate banner within the app will guide you through the activation and buying new eSim.
- Download and open the My Jio app.
- On the homepage, tap the iActivate banner.
- You’ll be directed to a page for purchasing a SIM card/eSIM.
- Choose between an eSIM or a physical SIM
- You will need an alternate mobile number.
- For eSIM you to enter your details, including your email ID, IMEI, and the EID of the smartphone.
