The popular job networking platform with more than 130 million members in India on Tuesday launched a new video experience in India. This launch aims to tap into the Indian fastest growing market with video uploads increasing 60 year on year in the country.

LinkedIn rapidly growing in India with 20 percent year-on-year growth in both membership and engagement this is the highest compared to other locations for LinkedIn, highlighting the platform’s expanding influence in the region.

New video experience

The new video experience is designed to enhance user engagement by allowing members to create and share video content more easily. This feature includes tools for editing and adding interactive elements, making videos a more dynamic way to connect with professionals, share insights, and highlight achievements. With video content becoming increasingly popular across social media platforms, LinkedIn’s initiative is timely and strategic.

This development comes at a time when 60 percent of Indian Internet users are consuming video content Ajay Dutta, Head of Product Management at LinkedIn India explains in a statement that LinkedIn is growing with nearly 6 people hired on the platform every minute with over 9,000 connections and more 100 hours of learning content is being consumed. He also that the platform is experimenting with several formats including newsletters, posts, collaborative articles, and videos to make knowledge easily accessible and help professionals advance their careers.
