The Red Magic 10 Pro Series is confirmed to launch on November 13. Ahead of this launch, the company has started testing key features of the smartphone, such as its 1.5K ‘Wukong Screen’ display from BOE. The company has also revealed details about its advanced cooling system.
Red Magic 10 Pro Series Cooling System
Red Magic Gaming Products General Manager James Jiang unveiled the cooling system on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. It is said to feature the new Ice X cooling system, which uses composite liquid metal.
Jiang claims that the Red Magic 10 Pro is the first smartphone to use this technology, which can reduce temperatures by up to 21 degrees Celsius—an advantage for mobile gamers.
How does this Ice X cooling system work?
James Jiang, General Manager of Red Magic Gaming Products, explained that the cooling system in the Red Magic 10 Pro series features a “sandwich structure” design, where “the upper and lower layers are made of low-temperature alloys, and the middle layer is indium-based.”
He further stated that the liquid metal layers offer higher thermal conductivity than traditional “heat dissipation gel,” allowing them to “quickly absorb heat, change from solid to liquid, and return to solid after cooling.”
