Samsung has officially announced that its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Galaxy A16 5G, will be making its way to the Indian market. The device, which was recently listed on Samsung’s global website, boasts a significant advantage over other smartphones in its price range: six years of OS upgrades and security updates.
This exceptional support ensures that the A16 5G will remain up-to-date and secure for years to come.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G India launch
Samsung confirms the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G to hit the Indian market in a Press note that the handset is coming soon to India. However, the company did not announce the release date for the handset. It will come in three color options in India including Blue Black, Gold, and Light Green.
The other details like the Processor for Samsung Galaxy A16 5G in India is powered by MediaTek chipset (possibly the Dimensity 6300), Knox Security features, and carries a Super AMOLED screen as well as a triple rear camera unit with an ultra-wide lens.
It confirms to get six years of OS upgrades and security updates similar to the global variant and its design is also said to be similar to the global variant. The upcoming smartphone is also confirmed to come with an IP54-rated build for dust and splash resistance and get the Key Island feature.

While specific Indian pricing and availability details have yet to be revealed taking note of the Global pricing Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is expected to be priced at at EUR 249 (roughly Rs. 23,000) for the 4GB + 128GB option.
