Sharp has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Sharp Aquos R9 Pro. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and will go on sale in Japan by December. The company plans to introduce the smartphone in Taiwan, Indonesia, and Singapore later. However, the pricing details for the Aquos R9 Pro have yet to be revealed.

Sharp Aquos R9 Pro Specifications

The Sharp Aquos R9 Pro features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The Aquos R9 Pro boasts a Leica-backed triple rear camera system, each with a 50.3-megapixel sensor the primary sensor has optical image stabilization (OIS) support while the other two have an ultra-wide angle lens and another with a 1/1.56-inch telephoto shooter. The front camera also sports a 50.3-megapixel sensor for high-quality selfies.

The Aquos R9 Pro has IPX5, IPX8, and IP6X ratings for dust and water resistance, and it packs a 5,000mAh battery. It also includes features like Qualcomm’s 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, facial recognition, and support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

The handset is seen in black colorways.
