Snapchat has rolled out new features for IOS devices that allow users to track the locations from which they have explored and sent snaps. This feature will work only when the users turn off the Ghost Mode on Snapchat for IOS.
Snapchat Footsteps Feature
The Footsteps Feature on Snapchat will allow users on IOS devices to keep of all of the places they have been using Snap Map. For instance, when users use this feature first time, Snapchat will use Memories to create the first few steps. For the subsequent uses will leverage the location data to track the steps.
This information is private and can only be viewed by the account owner. According to Snapchat, the Footsteps feature is only active when Ghost Mode, which hides a user’s location from others on the map, is disabled.
Previously, this feature was available for Snapchat + users only but now it has expanded to IOS devices. Snapchat also allows users to delete their Footsteps history if they do not wish to use this feature anymore.
