Qualcomm unveiled its most anticipated mobile processor Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which is said to offer improved performance, specifically designed for on-device AI capabilities. The processor was revealed at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii on Tuesday. It will also feature a dedicated Hexagon Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This processor will succeed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and is said to deliver better performance than its predecessor.

According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor will be available for flagship smartphones in the coming week for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) including Asus, Honor, iQOO, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Samsung, Vivo, and Xiaomi.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Specification
The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset (SM8750-AB) is Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, built on a 64-bit architecture using a 3nm fabrication process. It features a second-generation custom Qualcomm Oryon CPU with eight cores and a peak clock speed of 4.32GHz.
The chipset offers significant performance boosts, with a 45% improvement in both single and multi-core operations, and a 62% increase in web browsing efficiency compared to its predecessor.
