Spotify Restores Unlimited Lyrics, Offers New Individual Plans for India

This is good news for free users on Spotify as they get the chance to use the lyric feature again after it has been rolling off.

If you love listening to music with the lyrics on Spotify there is good news for you. Spotify brings back the Unlimited Lyrics for non-Subscribers this means you can get unlimited lyrics on a free plan on Spotify.

Spotify Rolls Back Lyric Restrictions

It’s important to mention that earlier this year, Spotify limited lyrics to just three songs per month for non-subscriber users, to promote its new subscription tiers, starting at 11 USD (Rs 900 in Indian Rupee). However, this change didn’t last long, after it received a backlash from numerous users Spotify rolled back this change and made the lyrics available for all users worldwide.

A spokesperson from Spotify said, “At Spotify, we’re always testing and iterating. This means the availability of our features can vary across tiers and between markets and devices. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be expanding Lyrics availability for Spotify Free users so more people can enjoy viewing more lyrics globally.”

Spotify offers for Indian users

Meanwhile, Spotify brings some offers for Indian users. New subscribers to Spotify Premium from India can access the Individual plan for just Rs 59 for three months, this offer is valid until 25 August only.

But there are conditions that the users must be new to Spotify Premium, users who already purchased, subscribed, or have an active plan are not eligible for this offer. Lastly, Spotify also introduced discounts on family, Dou, and student plans and users are free to cancel their subscription at any time if they wish to discontinue from premium plans.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek also talked about the company improving Spotify for free users in a recent earnings call. Lastly, Indian users new to Spotify Premium get an Individual plan for just Rs 59 for three months until 25 August.
