This feature was first spotted by 9to5Google, the new stable volume option appears on various Andriod TV and Google TV devices running Youtube 4.40.303. This feature can be accessed by tapping the gear icon while a video is playing, where they will see the Stable Volume toggle. This feature is enabled by default to make the volume consistent for all the videos making the watching experience more comfortable. However, users can turn off this feature anytime from the setting, if they prefer to watch video with unstable volume and manually adjust the volume.

Stable Volume is a function that continuously balances the volume range of a video on YouTube while users are watching the video. This feature maintains a consistence volume level for all videos.
