‘Ask a Question’ an AI-Powered features on Google Play Store under development: Reported

Google is reportedly developing an AI-powered "Ask a Question" feature for the Google Play Store.

Google is reportedly developing an AI-powered “Ask a Question” feature for the Google Play Store. This feature aims to help users find new apps and learn more. it is expected to be available through a chatbot interface. The feature is currently under development.

Google Play Store AI-Powered ‘Ask a Question’

The Andriod Authority reported that found the string of code that could be the new AI-powered feature called “Ask a question. The features appeared in a  Google Play Store version 43.3.32-31.

According to the report, there are three codes of string:

  • The first says “Created by AI”, indicating that the feature will be AI-powered.
  • The second string states, “Ask a question about this app”,
  • While the third says, “Ask a question”.

The features might be available in the form of a chatbot style, accessible on both the app listings page and the app results page. Users can ask any query about the app, and this feature can also aid in app discovery to help users find the desired app more easily.

Conclusion

However, the features are under development and have only been spotted in the code of an APK teardown. It’s uncertain whether they will be released in the final product. It’s best to wait for an official announcement from Google to confirm the features.
