MediaTek is expected to launch its new mobile processor MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Chipset next month. However, ahead of its launch, a new leak claimed that the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Chipset has better performance in GPU than the latest Apple A18 Pro chipset equipped with the iPhone 16 series and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset that equipped on Samsung Galaxy S24.
MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC GPU Benchmarks
In a post on Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station reported that the GPU of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC was tested using the GFX Aztec 1440p off-screen Vulcan benchmark, achieving a score of 134fps. This result is 86% higher than the Apple A18 Pro and 41% higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
Aztec test
The Aztec test is designed to simulate a 3D gaming environment to push the GPU to its maximum capabilities. Given that Vulcan is a high-performance graphics API, the benchmark is considered highly demanding. The test is part of the GFXBench suite.

Conclusion
However, it’s important to note that these results reflect the GPU’s raw performance, which may lead to inflated numbers. Since the testing conditions are unclear, even if the data is accurate, the same level of performance might not translate to real-world use.
Additionally, once the chipset is integrated into a smartphone and optimized, the performance could be lower than indicated
