Samsung is reportedly working on a tri-foldable smartphone that could be released as early as 2025. Following the launch of Huawei’s Mate X Ultimate Edition, companies like Xiaomi, Honor, and Oppo have also been rumored to be developing their tri-display smartphones. Samsung’s upcoming tri-foldable device has the potential to rival the capabilities of the Huawei Mate X Ultimate Edition.
Samsung’s Tri-Fold Phone
According to a report in the Korean publication ZDNet Korea, citing an industry source, Samsung is considering the release of an entry-level clamshell-style foldable phone and a “tri-fold model that can fold the screen twice” in 2025.

The report further stated that the commercialization plans and development of the tri-fold model’s components have already been finalized by Samsung Display’s partners.
However, the final decision on whether to launch the tri-fold model rests with Samsung Electronics’ MX division.
