Vivo has finally unveiled the new Vivo V40 series, comprising the Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro. The new smartphones boast impressive camera setups, sleek designs, and powerful performance. The Vivo V40 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen3 chipset and the Vivo V40 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. Let us look into more detail about these smartphones.
Vivo V40 Series Pricing and Availability
The Vivo V40 comes in three colour options including Ganges Blue, Titanium Grey, and Lotus Purple colour.

- Vivo V40 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at Rs 36,999
- Vivo V40 12GB RAM + 512GB storage is priced at Rs 41,999
For Vivo V40 Pro the price starts at Rs 49,999 with two two colour options including Ganges Blue, and Titanium Grey.

The Vivo V40 model is set to go live for sale in India on August 19 and the Vivo V40 Pro will be available on August 13. The company include a launch offer of 10 Percent cashback on selected bank cards.
Vivo V40 Pro Specifications
Design and Display: It comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 4,500 nits peak brightness for vibrant visuals.
Processor: The Vivo V40 Pro comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor along with the Immortalis-G715 MC11 GPU.
RAM and Storage: It offers 8GB / 12GB RAM and 256GB / 512GB storage options.
Camera: The Vivo V40 Pro boasts enhanced camera systems featuring Zeiss optics, Zeiss T* lens coating, and a Ring-LED flash. Both models support 4K video recording at 30fps with gyro-EIS and OIS stabilization. The front camera is a 50MP wide lens equipped with dual-LED flash and 4K video recording at 30fps.
Connectivity: The Vivo V40 Pro offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC (market dependent), and a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support. It also includes comprehensive positioning systems, including GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS, and NavIC.
Sensors and Battery: Both models feature an under-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, and compass. The Vivo V40 Pro is powered by a 5500mAh non-removable battery with 80W wired charging and reverse wired charging capabilities.
Software: It runs on Android 14-based Funtouch 14 out of the box.
