This announcement is not new on this platform as Elon Musk stated that he will charge even basic features on X in the coming future. This news was announced on the X Live account, stating “Starting soon, only Premium subscribers will be able to live stream (create live video streams) on X. This includes going live from an encoder with X integration. Upgrade to Premium to continue going live. “

However, the date has not been mentioned in the post, but when this feature is implemented only subscribers can live stream on the X platform. It also includes live streaming via an encoder platform with X integration. Conclusion

This change could reduce the number of live streams on the X platform. Since users now need a premium subscription to go live, they may switch to other platforms that offer this feature for free. Hopefully, Meta won’t bring this change on their platforms, as they did with the paid blue tick verification system.
