However, sometimes you might not want to see photos of specific people in your Memories. To address this, Google Photos may soon get the new feature that allows you to hide specific faces from your Memories.

According to a report by 9to5Google, the latest version of Google Photos offers functionality to hide someone’s face in Memories.

How to Hide Faces in Memories Google photos

Here’s how to hide someone’s face in Memories:

  1. Open the Google Photos app and navigate to the Settings menu.
  2. Go to “Preferences” and then select “Memories.”
  3. Choose “Hide people and pets.” This will allow you to select individuals you want to hide without deleting their photos from Memories, search results, or creations.

More Granular Control with New Options

The new feature offers two options for hiding faces:

  • Block Face: This completely removes the person’s photos from your Memories. They won’t appear individually or in group photos.
  • Show Less: This option minimizes the presence of a particular person in your Memories. Their individual photos will be hidden, but they might still appear in group photos.
