Nothing unveiled the first look of Nothing O.S 3.0 offers a revamped design and features, including a new gallery, lock screen, etc. The new OS will be based on the new Andriod 15 and the beta version is set to be released next month.

Nothing announced the Nothing Os 3.0 based on Andriod 15 in the Nothing Ear (Open) launch event. Nothing confirmed that the beta version will be release in October, with the stable update expected to be release in December.

Talking about the support of Nothing Smartphone for Nothing OS 3.0, since all Nothing phone comes with 3 years OS update except for Nothing CMF Phone 1. So, all the Nothing smartphones that are released to date are eligible for the Nothing OS 3.0 update.

  • Nothing Gallery: The new Nothing Gallery app introduces a refined photo experience that follows Nothing’s minimalist design language. This app focuses on speed and simplicity, allowing users quicker access to their photos directly from the camera app.
  • Lock Screen: Nothing has introduced more personalization options for the Lock Screen, offering greater control over clock styles and widgets. Users can now disable the full-size clock display, allowing more room for widgets of their choice.
  • Quick Settings: The Quick Settings menu now allows complete customization of icons, including size adjustments. Additionally, an auto-brightness toggle has been integrated directly into the brightness slider, streamlining the control of screen brightness based on ambient light.
  • Smart App Drawer: The Smart App Drawer utilizes AI to suggest apps based on your usage patterns, much like iOS’s App Library. However, for those who prefer manual control, there’s the option to pin frequently used apps to the top of the traditional Android app drawer.
  • New Widgets: Two notable widget features have been introduced. The Countdown Widget allows users to track important dates and events with ease, providing a visual reminder on the home screen. Additionally, Shared Widgets enable users to sync content with others, offering real-time updates and sticker reactions across connected devices.
  • User Interface: The overall UI has received a revamped with updated typography that improves readability and aesthetics. Moreover, Nothing’s new Dot Engine enhances system animations, introducing dynamic dots that appear in various interactions such as charging or fingerprint scanning.
